debts funeral and testamentary
expenses I give and bequeath my freehold messuage and dwellinghouse
situate and being Number 86 New Road in the Town and County of the Town of
Southampton and all my books documents watches clocks diamond rings and
other jellery also my plate
pictures linen china coins and curios whatsoever unto my said daughter
Fanny Poat Aslatt absolutely I give devise and bequeath all the rest
residue and remainder of my real and personal estate unto all my children
in equal shares And I declare
that the Executrix and Executor for the time being of this my Will may in-
stead of acting personally employ and pay a Solicitor or other person to
transact any business or do any act required to be done in connection with
the administration of
my estate including the receipt and payment of money and that the said
Arthur William Pearce being a Solicitor may act and be employed and shall
be entitled to charge and be paid all professional or other charges for
any business or act done by
him or his form in connection with my estate including any act which an
Executor not being a Solicitor could have done personally I desire to be
buried in my tomb in the Southampton Cemetery without show or unnecessary
cost and that the words
"Twelve years Alderman of the Borough of Southampton" be carved
